Lexcel is the Quality mark of the Law Society of England and Wales.

Any type and size of practice may undergo independent assessment to certify that the Lexcel Practice Management Standards are being met.

Practice Management Standards.

Revised in  2006, the core Practice Management Standards are the basis for the Lexcel assessment.

They are now accepted as an aid to effective practice management and improved client care.

They cover six main areas:

Management structure

Services and forward planning

Financial management

Managing people

Office administration

Case management

Lexcel is evidence of a well managed practice committed to providing a quality service.
